EVCA has redesigned its landmark private equity conference for investors.
The former EVCA International Investors Conference, has become an exclusive event for LPs and GPs only: the EVCA Investors Forum. The inaugural forum took place in Geneva on 16-17 March 2005.
The new format featured specific issues, speakers and delegates designed to turn delegates' participation into a high-return investment.
The all-new Investors' Forum featured a full day LP-only programme, designed by LPs. It aimed to increase the ratio of LPs to GPs to 1:1. By limiting the audience to 200 LPs and 200 GPs and the number of participants per company, as well as by targeting senior practitioners, EVCA took this event to a new level.
On the LP-only programme of the LP forum part were key issues for new as well as seasoned investors in private equity. The LP/GP sessions featured subjects driven by key aspects and trends in the GP-LP relationship.
The 2005 forum featured Prof Daniel Kahneman, 2002 Nobel Laureate in Economics as keynote speaker. He highlighted essential procedures for investment assessments to both LPs and GPs, as well as examined the issues surrounding the decision-making process in different private equity investments on the basis of interviews with key LPs and GPs.
The forum was open to institutional investors, pension funds, insurance companies, family offices, EVCA full members and funds of funds members of EVCA.
