Mr. McDonald, an Irish national, is a Principal Investment Officer responsible for the private equity and real estate investments of the World Bank pension fund based in Washington D.C. . The World Bank pension fund has been an active investor in private equity since 1980.
Before joining the World Bank pension fund in 1997, Mr. McDonald worked in the Investment Banking and Fixed Income departments of Morgan Stanley in London. Mr. McDonald has also worked for the Bank of Ireland in the United States and Northern Ireland. Mr. McDonald holds a B.S.c with first class Honors in Banking & Finance from the University of Ulster and an MPhil in Management Studies from the University of Cambridge.
