Rémy Sautter, RTL France Radio Degree in law, graduated from the “Institut d’Etudes Politiques” Paris and “ENA” (Ecole Nationale d’Administration) Paris. In 1971, he joined the “Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations” as Deputy Treasurer. From 1975 to 1977, Rémy served as Financial Attaché to the French Embassy in the United States. Then, he was appointed as Financial Counsellor to the French Minister of Defense (1981-1983). From 1983 to 1985, he was the CFO of Havas, the media group and parent company of Canal Plus as one of its first directors. In 1985, Rémy joined RTL Group, where he held various positions in the radio and television business until he became Chief Executive Officer from 1996 till 2000. Since 2000, he has been the Chairman of the board of RTL Radio (France) and the Chairman of the board of Five TV (U.K.). He is also a non-executive director of PartnerRe Ltd, a NYSE-listed global reinsurance company, of Taylor Nelson Sofres, a U.K.- listed company, and two media companies listed in France: M6 TV and Pages Jaunes SA. close window
