Fee includes: Participation in the Symposium, conference papers, refreshments,
luncheons, welcome reception and the gala dinner.
Fee does NOT include accommodation or travel expenses; see section entitled
"Accommodation" for further details.
Partners' Programme
Spouses and partners registered for the full Partners' Programme
package are invited to attend the welcome reception, gala dinner,
the keynote address on Friday 17 June 2005 at 12.15 and the
Friday lunch.
The cost of the full package is 350, which includes:
Thursday 16 June 2005: Visit to Windsor Castle followed by
shopping in town of Windsor and a cruise where a buffet lunch
will be served.
Friday 17 June 2005: Shopping morning to Burlington Arcade
and Fortnum & Mason including refreshments.
The organising committee reserves the right to cancel the optional tours if the total
number of attendees is insufficient (minimum 30).
Payment
Please complete the online registration form. Participants are requested to pay the registration fee by cheque, bank transfer or credit card in EURO, as shown on the registration form. Bank transfers should be made net of all bank charges and commission to either international bank transfer account number: IBAN BE33 3300 5785 0046 (Swift/BIC: BBRUBEBB) or domestic bank transfer account number: 330-0578500-46 at ING, Stationstraat 78, B-1930 Zaventem. A copy of the bank transfer should be mailed. To avoid confusion, participants are requested to clearly indicate their name and address on transfer orders and cheques.
Acknowledgement of registration, receipt for fees and practical information will be sent to participants following reception of the registration form and payment.
Payment by credit card is required for all registrations after 6 May 2005.
Registration will only be effective after the appropriate fees have been received by EVCA.
Cancellation
If a registered delegate is unable to attend the Symposium, a colleague
from the same company may take their place at any time. However,
cancellation of attendance will only be accepted if received in writing to the
EVCA Secretariat by 6 May 2005. Fees (less 20% administrative charges)
will then be refunded. No refunds will be made after this date.
EVCA cannot be held liable for any costs or expenses, of any nature (such
as, but not limited to hotel and transportation costs and expenses) incurred
in connection with the conference by a participant who is prevented, for any
reason (such as, but not limited to the unavailability of transportation), from
attending the conference.
We recommend that participants take out a travel insurance policy to cover
such eventuality as well as covering the potential loss or damage to
personal possessions.
Accommodation
Accommodation for conference delegates has been secured at the Hilton London Metropole, the Symposium venue.
Delegates who make a hotel booking are asked to mail or fax the accommodation form directly to the hotel.
Every reservation should be guaranteed by a credit card covering one night's deposit. Reservations without a deposit cannot be guaranteed and may be cancelled by the hotel.
Accounts, less any deposits, will be payable to the hotel on departure.
The Symposium formally begins with a Welcome Reception,
kindly hosted by the BVCA, on Wednesday 15 June 2005 at
19.30 at the Science Museum.
The origins of the Science Museum lie in the nineteenth-century movement to improve scientific and technical education. Innovative and inspirational, the Science Museum offers a huge diversity of settings and subject matter. 'Making the Modern World' gallery is a chronicle of some of the most significant items in the Museum's collection.

The Gala Dinner, kindly hosted by Apax Partners, will take place
on Thursday 16 June 2005 at 20.00 at the Guildhall.
As the home of the Corporation of London, the Guildhall has been the centre of City government since the Middle Ages. The Great Hall is the third largest civic hall in England, where royalty and state visitors have been entertained down through the centuries. Today the Guildhall provides a venue for state and civic banquets, meetings of the Corporation's elected assembly, the Court of Common Council and for the Honorary Freedom of the City ceremony.

Conference Sessions:
Sessions start at 09.00 and are scheduled to finish at 18.30 on
Thursday 16 June 2005 and at 13.15 on Friday 17 June 2005.
Friday Afternoon Tour and Dinner (optional):
Friday afternoon you will discover the magical hidden backstage world of London theatre life. Two of the major London theatres will open their doors exceptionally for back stage tours to allow you to experience the world behind the scenes. You will be led through the theatre labyrinths by actors and comedians who will bring to life the thrills and challenges of this world of imagination.
The Friday evening dinner will be held at Lincoln 's Inn. The historic buildings of Lincoln's Inn are set in the spacious, beautifully maintained private gardens in the heart of Central London. Lincoln's Inn is the oldest of the four Inns of Court in London dating back to the 14th Century. It was originally established as a hostel for those studying law.
The Great Hall is the largest hall of any of the Inns and it is
considered to be one of the most distinguished buildings designed
by Philip Hardwick working in the Tudor Revival style.
