Katja Salovaara,
Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company

Katja has been a Portfolio Manager at Ilmarinen responsible for analysing and making investment recommendations into private equity funds since January 2000. The strategy to date has been to focus on Europe.

Before joining Ilmarinen, she worked at the Shell UK Pension Fund in London with the analysis of private equity funds and monitoring of a global private equity portfolio with over USD 1 billion of commitments, primarily focussed on European buyouts and earlier as an Investment Analyst in the European team at private equity specialists Pantheon Ventures.

Katja has a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Helsinki, is a CFA charterholder and is fluent in Swedish, Finnish, English and French. Katja is a member of the European Venture Capital Association’s Investor Relations Committee since summer 2005.
