Jamie Weir,

After graduating from Strathclyde University, Jamie Weir worked for the Weir Group, a Scottish engineering company from 1972 until 1984 working in the UK, North America and Europe. In 1984 he joined Rothschild Unterberg Towbin in London and in 1986 moved to Hambros Advanced Technology Trust (HATT). Following the acquisition of HATT in 1990 he moved to Hambro European Ventures, the predecessor company of Duke Street Capital. From 1990 until 2005, he was based in Paris/London with particular responsibility for fundraising. He retired gracefully from Duke Street in May 2005.

He is now based between Europe and North America and he and his wife very involved in charitable organizations looking after handicapped adults. In addition he is a member of the Investment Committee of Mistral Windfarms, a fund investing in windfarms in the UK and France.
