The working language of the Symposium will be English. Please note that exceptionally the working language of the 'Spanish Workshop' (optional, on Wednesday 18 June 2008 from 9:30 to 13:00) will be Spanish.

The fee includes conference papers, the publication ‘Global scenario’s for private equity and venture capital’ and all literature, cocktail reception, refreshments, lunches, gala dinner, the silver jubilee picture book ‘25 years of a shared vision – an artist’s impression’ and the Friday afternoon social tour (optional).

Payment
Please complete the online registration form. Participants are requested to pay the registration fee by cheque, bank transfer or credit card in EURO as shown on the registration form. Bank transfers should be made net of all bank charges and commission to either the international bank transfer account number: IBAN BE33 3300 5785 0046 (Swift/BIC: BBRUBEBB), or domestic bank transfer account number: 330-0578500-46 at ING, Stationsstraat 78, B-1930 Zaventem, Belgium. A copy of the bank transfer should be mailed together with the registration form to EVCA. To avoid confusion, participants are requested to indicate clearly their name and address on transfer orders and cheques.
Acknowledgement of registration, a receipt for fee payment and practical information will be sent to participants once the registration form and payment have been received.
Payment by credit card is required for all registrations after 9 May 2008. Registration will only be effective after the appropriate fees have been received by EVCA.
Cancellation and change of delegate
If a registered delegate is unable to attend the Symposium, a colleague from the same company may take his or her place at any time. However, cancellation of attendance will only be accepted if received in writing by the EVCA Secretariat on or before 9 May 2008. Fees (less 20% for administrative costs) will then be refunded. No refunds will be made after this date.
Accommodation
Accommodation for the event must be reserved separately by the participants as this is not included in the conference registration fee.
Accommodation for the conference attendees has been secured at the following hotels: InterContinental and Hotel Silken Puerta America and Westin Palace Hotel.
Delegates requesting to make a hotel booking are asked to mail or fax the accommodation form directly to the hotel.
Every reservation should be guaranteed by a credit card covering one night’s deposit. Reservations without a deposit cannot be guaranteed and may be cancelled by the hotel. Accounts, less any deposits, will be payable to the hotel on departure.

An emblematic luxury hotel situated in the financial centre of the city, in the heart of Paseo de la Castellana, and very near the Art Walk (the triangle made by the Prado, Thyssen Bornemisza and Reina Sofia museums). The location is also perfect for shopping, just a step away from Serrano Street and the Salamanca neighbourhood, where many of the most elegant fashion boutiques, jewellers, shoe and accessories shops are located.
The hotel is located +/- 20 minutes from IFEMA.

Westin Palace Hotel 5*
Built at the direction of King Alfonso XIII in 1912, the Westin Palace, Madrid was recently restored to its original splendor. Located in the cultural and financial heart of the city, in the very center of the “Art Triangle” between the Prado, Thiessen & Reina Sofia museums. Across the road from the Parliament and within walking distance from the Royal Palace and the Opera House. It was named by the Condé Nast Traveler Top Hotels List in 2006.
The hotel is located +/- 25 minutes from IFEMA.

Social events
The social events will start with a cocktail reception, kindly hosted by ASCRI, on Wednesday, 18 June 2008 at 20.00 at the private members club "Casino de Madrid".
The gala dinner will take place at the Bullring on Thursday, 19 June 2008 at 20.00 and the Friday afternoon networking event and dinner will take place on Friday afternoon, 20 June 2008 at the Hippodrome.

Conference sessions
The conference sessions start at 09.00 and are scheduled to finish at 18.00 on Thursday, 19 June 2008. On Friday, 20 June 2008, the conference will take place in the morning, and will be followed by an optional social programme in the afternoon and informal evening.
Partners’ programme
Spouses and partners registered for the full partners’ programme package are also invited to attend the welcome reception, the gala dinner and the Friday afternoon networking event and dinner.

A visit to Madrid is incomplete without a stop at the Prado Museum…
Located in a privileged artistic triangle, surrounded by trees, monuments and emblematic places of the city, the Museum prevails as one of the most visited places of the capital.
After this visit, a guided walk through Paseo del Prado will take you to the Museum Thyssen-Bornemisza. And the final point of this artistic itinerary will be the Plaza Cibeles, with its beautiful fountain of the Cibeles goddess, one of the most well known and beloved fountains of Madrid.
These visits will be followed by a lunch at the Rincon de la Cava Restaurant, located in the "Cava de San Miguel" street, this traditional tavern is legendary and not to be missed for tasty tapas.

Visit to the Elysium Spa in central Madrid

Lunch at Meson Cinco Jotas
First and foremost known for its excellent Iberian Ham this restaurant proposes a smart bar and a warm andalucian atmosphere two steps away from the Elysium Spa. Taste some of their delicious tapas and house selected wines.
The organising committee reserves the right to cancel the optional tours if the total number of participants is insufficient (minimum 35).

Liability
EVCA cannot be held liable for any costs or expenses of any nature (such as, but not limited to, hotel and transportation costs and expenses) incurred in connection with the conference by a participant who is prevented for any reason (such as, but not limited to, the unavailability of transportation) from attending the conference.
We recommend that participants take out a travel insurance policy to cover any such eventualities as well as covering the potential loss of or damage to personal possessions.
