Fee includes: Participation in the conference - conference papers
- refreshments - luncheons - welcome reception and dinner.
The fee does NOT include accommodation or travel expenses,
please see section entitled "Accommodation" for further
details.
Payment
Please complete the online Registration Form and at the same time
arrange the payment of the registration fee. Participants are
requested to pay by cheque, bank transfer or credit card in EURO
as shown on the Registration Form. Bank transfers should be made
net of all bank charges and commission to either international
bank transfer account number: IBAN BE33 3300 5785 0046, or domestic
bank transfer account number: 330-0578500-46 at the Bank Brussel
Lambert, Stationstraat 78, B - 1930 Zaventem, Belgium. A copy
of the bank transfer should be mailed together with the Registration
Form. To avoid any confusion, participants are requested to indicate
clearly their names and addresses on transfer orders and cheques.
Acknowledgement of registration, receipt for fees and practical
information will be sent after receipt of the
Registration Form and payment. Payment by credit card is required
for all registrations after 1 September 2003. Registrations will
only be effective after the appropriate fees
have been received by EVCA.
Cancellation
If a delegate is unable to attend the conference, a substitution
from the same company can be made at any time. However, cancellations
can only be accepted if received in writing by 1 September 2003.
Fees (less 20% administrative charges) will then be refunded.
No refunds can be made after this date. EVCA cannot be held liable
for any costs or expenses, of whatever nature (such as, but not
limited to hotel and transportation costs and expenses) incurred
in connection with the conference by a participant who is prevented,
for whatever reason (such as, but not limited to the unavailability
of transportation), to attend the conference. We recommend that
you take out your own travel insurance policy and extend your
policy for personal possessions.
Accommodation
Accommodation for the event must be reserved separately from your
conference registration. Block bookings have been secured for
the conference attendees at the following hotels: Hotel
Okura Amsterdam, the conference venue and Hotel
Meridien Apollo, adjacent to the Hotel Okura Amsterdam. Delegates
requesting a hotel booking are requested to mail or fax the attached
Accommodation Form directly to the hotel of choice. The deadline
for reservation is 20 August 2003. After this date, neither hotel
will be able to guarantee availability and reservations will be
made on a space and rate availability basis. Reservations must
be guaranteed by a credit card covering one night's deposit. Reservations
made without a deposit cannot be guaranteed and may be cancelled
by the hotel. Accounts, less any deposits, will be payable to
the hotel on departure.
The Hotel Okura Amsterdam and Hotel Meridien Apollo are located
on the banks of the Amstel Canal, close to the financial, cultural
and entertainment district of Amsterdam. The Rai Congress &
Exhibition Centre is within walking distance. The city’s
motorways are easily accessible, and Schiphol International Airport
is only a 15 minute drive away.
Hotel Okura Amsterdam
Amsterdam is living history, a city where you feel immediately
at home. Built around a network of stunning canals, the city boasts
centuries old houses, as well as the most contemporary architectural
designs. In this bustling cosmopolitan metropolis, you won’t
find a warmer welcome than at the Hotel Okura Amsterdam.
Standard Single room is €245; Corner room is €280; Junior
Suite is €315 (supplement for double occupancy is €35);
rates are inclusive of VAT, excluding 5% city tax; buffet breakfast
is €24 per person).
Hotel Meridien Apollo
Le Méridien Apollo is located close to the de Zuid-as business
district and is within walking distance of the Rai Congress Centre,
World Trade Centre, the famous Museum Square and distinguished
shopping areas. The hotel has a wide range of conference facilities,
a fitness room, two waterside terraces, a cosy Lounge Bar and
a fish and seafood restaurant, La Sirène, overlooking Amsterdam's
canals and marina.
Standard Single/Double: €234 (breakfast buffet is €20.50
per person, service and VAT included, 5% city tax excluded).
The deadline to reserve accommodation is 20 August 2003. After
this date neither hotel can guarantee availability; reservations
will be made strictly according to room and rate
availability.
Conference Programme
The Conference formally begins with a Welcome Reception, on Wednesday
1 October at 19.00 at the Hotel Okura Amsterdam. The official
conference dinner, will take place on Thursday 2 October at 20.00
at the Arendshoeve. Sessions start at 09.00 on Thursday 2 and
on Friday 3 October and are scheduled to finish at 17.15 on Thursday
and after lunch on Friday. Transportation to and from the hotels
will be provided. There will be an optional Friday afternoon cultural
event (offered on first-come firstserved basis, with priority
to EVCA Members).
Friday Afternoon Tour (optional)
On Friday afternoon you will have the opportunity to discover
Amsterdam in the most typical way possible: by bicycle! Using
the most traditional and most frequently used transportation method,
you will discover the city and its specialities.
Dinner will be served at the restaurant ‘Moeders Mooiste’
at 20.00.
Suggested attire
During the conference programme, the welcome reception and dinner
- business attire; during the Friday afternoon excursion - informal
wear and comfortable walking shoes.
