Helmut Schühsler,

Dr. Helmut M. Schühsler is a Managing Partner of TVM Capital (Munich, Boston). He has been responsible, mostly as a lead investor, for over 20 TVM investments in life science companies, and has - since he joined the firm in 1990 - served on various boards and committees, among others as a member of the Senate of the Hermann von Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft Deutscher Forschungszentren (HGF) and as a board member of Ascenion GmbH, the technology transfer organisation of several HGF and other German research institutions. Currently he is a board member at life science companies Curacyte AG, Develogen AG, Ingenium Pharmaceuticals AG, and SelectX, Inc. as well as Max-Planck-Innovation GmbH, the technology transfer institution of the Max Planck Society.

At the European private equity industry level Dr. Schühsler is currently serving as a member of the Executive Committee, Chairman of the Professional Standards Committee and chairman of the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA).

Prior to TVM, he was an Investment Manager at Horizonte Venture Management in Vienna. Dr. Schühsler wrote his doctoral thesis at the Economics University of Vienna in the area of business administration.
